Concurrent Design
Epsis defines Concurrent Design as a structured methodology for multidisciplinary teamwork in projects where tasks are performed in parallel rather than sequentially. Central to the work method are well prepared work sessions, where decisions are taken and progress created.
Epsis Business Advisory has supported a wide range of customers in various industries implementing this methodology. Our advisors give courses and training for teams and facilitators; establish plans for concurrent work sessions, advice on establishing dedicated work arenas, facilitate work sessions and lead methodology implementation projects.
The results of implementing Concurrent Design (also known as Lean Construction and Design, Concurrent Method, Concurrent Engineering or “Samtidig Plan og Prosjektering”) are higher quality and innovation in the project, higher efficiency and utilization of staff, increased learning – and of course, it is fun!
